American Security Ltd. commonly known under its brand name AMERSEC was founded in 1995 as a family-run company specializing in Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system installations. After gaining important knowledge of this technology as well as the needs of different kinds of end users AMERSEC developed its own line of Radio-Frequency EAS systems. As one of the very few companies on the market at that time AMERSEC could offer the very popular MONO 8.2 MHz system which used advanced swept technology for good detection of paper labels.
